Community Outreach

Part of our mission at Dancing Dreams is to provide community outreach, especially to children, in the area of disability awareness.

Over the past four years, using our book "Ballerina Dreams" as a tool, we have spoken to over 500 elementary school children about tolerance and awareness.

For the last two years, Joann and dancers Kathleen Downes and Veronica Siaba have spoken at a seminar for students in the NYU physical therapy doctorate program. You can see the video on youTube at http://youtu.be/LFDvfLsGQq8.
